Carol Vielba was until recently Associate Dean for Academic Quality and Standards at Cass Business School, part of City University, London. After postgraduate studies at Oxford, the State University of New York, and London School of Economics, Carol worked briefly in local government. Before joining City University, she held research and lecturing posts at the University of Birmingham, the former Polytechnic of the South Bank and London Business School.
She retains her connections with City University as an Honorary Senior Visiting Fellow in the Faculty of Management of Cass Business School.
She is active in the field of business and management evaluation and accreditation. Carol is a QAA reviewer and has undertaken similar roles in the Middle East as well as chairing and acting as a panellist for professional business and management accreditation bodies in the UK, Europe and North America.
Carol has researched and published in the field of management and management education. In recent years she has also developed further an interest in history, in particular local and medieval studies.
