Every big goal starts with a small step. Our scholarships and Hardship Fund are designed to lighten the financial load and bolster your confidence to stride towards your goal. Created to open-up education to more people, our financial aids benefit both UK undergraduate and postgraduate students.

UK undergraduate Hardship Fund

Our Hardship Fund for UK undergraduate students makes learning more affordable and accessible. It is designed to reduce financial stresses so you can focus on your studies.


Hardship funds are made available twice in the academic year. Current undergraduate students will be informed when the application period is open and allocation of funds will be agreed by the Scholarship, Bursaries and Prizes Committee.


To apply for support from our Hardship Fund you must:

  • be resident in the UK

  • be enrolled on one of our online undergraduate courses

  • be experiencing financial difficulty that affects your studies.

Important notice: current postgraduate scholarships to be withdrawn from 14th May

Please be advised that we're in the process of finalising our new scholarship opportunities and the specific postgraduate scholarships detailed below will no longer be available after May 14th. Details about these scholarships remain below for your reference, but we won't be accepting any applications for them beyond this date.

UK Postgraduate Scholarship (Academic)

If you live in the UK and you enrol onto one of our online postgraduate courses, you’ll be able to apply for an LIBF UK Postgraduate Scholarship (Academic).

  • Award

    If your application is successful you’ll receive the scholarship directly into your bank account every academic year throughout the programme, provided you continue to meet the criteria.


  • Amount

    You’ll receive £1,000 in total, throughout the programme, regardless of whether you study full-time or part-time.


  • How to apply

    You’ll be invited to apply for this scholarship when you apply for your postgraduate programme. You must submit a 300 to 500-word statement outlining how your academic background will help you succeed in this degree, your career, or both.

UK Postgraduate Scholarship (Working Professional)

If you live in the UK and you enrol onto one of our online postgraduate courses, you’ll be able to apply for an LIBF UK Postgraduate Scholarship (Working Professional).

  • Award

    If your application is successful you’ll receive the scholarship directly into your bank account every academic year throughout the programme, provided you continue to meet the criteria.


  • Amount

    You’ll receive £1,000 in total, throughout the programme, regardless of whether you study full-time or part-time.


  • How to apply

    You’ll be invited to apply for this scholarship when you apply for your postgraduate programme. You must submit a 300 to 500-word statement outlining how your academic background will help you succeed in this degree, your career, or both.
