We all know that banking is going through the greatest disruption since the arrival of computers in the 60s. The advent of digital technology and, more importantly, its adoption by customers is changing the fundamentals of the business.
In April 2013 a conversation over lunch led to a small group of 6 people leaving established careers to build the UK's first bank built for the digital age. Atom Bank was launched on April 6th 2016 and today employs 200 people.
Craig's view is that the only real risk would have been to stay and accept the status quo. What did they see that made this an acceptable risk, how did they build a bank and what trends do they see emerging in the UK banking sector?
