140yr logoIn 1879 we were founded by a small group of bank workers to help gain recognition for workers’ skills and expertise in the sector. So 2019 marks our 140th anniversary to celebrate what’s been achieved but also to think about what the future might hold.

We have already had lots events and activities to celebrate and will continue to release details of what is happening – so watch this space!

In the meantime have a look at a time machine blog series, which we’ll update regularly.

Our 140 years staff and student party

On Monday 11 March we celebrated our 140th anniversary and officially launched our campaign to raise £140,000.

It also was the start of a whole year of celebrations in which we plan to not only celebrate our past, but also look towards the future.

During the day staff heard from our Chief Executive, Alex Fraser and Steven Haberman, Chair of the Board of Governors. There was also a walking tour of the City, as well as competitions and quizzes.
