Senior Investment or Commercial Banking Professional

Level 7 Apprenticeship: MSc Banking & Finance and Chartered Associateship

Our apprenticeship programmes are for employers looking to develop their workforce.

Suitable for graduate entrants and staff with leadership potential, this postgraduate programme will develop your employees to work in roles that demand responsibility and require strategic thinking.

Leadership is about more than just talent

Banks need leaders who understand banking and finance, risk and regulation and have a solid foundation in how financial markets, institutions and instruments work. When leaders don’t have that expertise, the results can be catastrophic.

This programme gives your organisation the chance to turn your best people into future leaders. It will help you to both retain your most talented staff and to attract and recruit top graduates.

With a choice of four routes, your employees will become accomplished senior professionals in either:

  • commercial banking
  • investment banking
  • investment management, or
  • investment operations.

This is a unique opportunity for your employees to attain a sector-specific postgraduate qualification and achieve Chartered Associateship funded by the levy. They will be able to maintain their chartered status through continuing professional development (CPD) and retaining membership with us.

How the Level 7 Programme works

Drawing on our distinct approach of combining academic thought with industry experience, our Faculty deliver this course through a blend of:

  • face-to-face workshops – currently online due to Covid-19
  • real-time webinars and supported online learning.

You can start our Level 7 Programme at any time of year. And because it fits the Level 7 Apprenticeship Standard, you can fund it through your levy – up to £18,000 for each employee, subject to eligibility.

We require a minimum cohort size. Your learners should each either:

  • hold a degree, or
  • hold Chartered Associateship with us, or
  • be able to demonstrate the appropriate level of relevant work experience.

If you’d like to talk to us about your candidates’ eligibility, contact our Head of Apprenticeships, Karen Taylor by email: ktaylor@libf.ac.uk or phone +44 207 337 6290.
