A-level results day is finally here! If you’ve just received your results, you might be wondering what to do next. We take a look at some of the options available if you didn’t get the results you expected or simply want to consider other study paths.
A-level results not what you expected?
If you didn’t get the results needed for your firm choice, it doesn’t mean you can’t go to university. First thing’s first, if you are just shy of getting what you needed and you feel you’ve been marked unfairly, you could look into getting your exams remarked. To do this, you’ll need to contact your college or sixth form – they can then make a request to the exam board to remark your paper.
However, you should also consider that getting a paper remarked may also mean that you could get marked down or simply end up with the same result.
But even if you do not end up with the marks you had hoped for, there are still options.
Applying to LIBF through clearing
UCAS clearing is essentially a second chance at finding a degree course that you’re passionate about. A common misconception is that it’s just for those who didn’t receive any university offers or missed the entry requirements for their course – but that’s not always the case. If your grades were higher than you expected, for example, you might have met the entry requirements for universities that appeal to you more than your firm choice!
If you’re interested in studying a degree in banking and finance, we offer two undergraduate degrees on campus:
You can apply to us through clearing. The best way to do this is to call us on 020 8059 8569 / 020 3747 2827 and speak to a member of our team. You’ll need to have:
