A new high-level qualification for frontline banking staff has been launched by ifs University College.
The Diploma in Retail Banking Conduct of Business (DipRBCB®) has been designed for professionals who manage, or aspire to manage, customer-facing teams within the retail financial services sector.
Consisting of three units, the Diploma combines a mixture of academic principles with practical examples to enhance students’ knowledge of key legislative, regulatory and risk factors in a rapidly-changing industry.
It also builds upon ifs University College’s successful level 3 qualification, CertRBCB®, which covers many day-to-day aspects faced by banking professionals, including managing customer relationships, encountering risk in retail banking and features of innovation in the sector.
Gillian Bagshaw, a student who will be taking the DipRBCB® qualification, said:
“The DipRBCB® will be really valuable as I can easily relate the things I am learning back to my workplace, and although I can work at my own pace I have a deadline date in which I should complete the study. I am passionate about the professionalism of people working within financial services and feel that this qualification will help develop confidence with customers in their ability to answer questions fully. For me personally, it also means that I am part of a professional network with further opportunities for continuous personal and professional development in a variety of different aspects of financial services.”
