Renier Lemmens to advise on the evolution of digital finance and how to fill the skills gap

Renier-LemmensThe London Institute of Banking & Finance has appointed Renier Lemmens as its first ever Visiting Professor of Fintech and Innovation and as Senior Advisor on Digital Education.

Alex Fraser, Chief Executive of The London Institute of Banking & Finance said:

“We are designing programmes and qualifications to meet the industry’s rapidly-evolving needs for new skills. These will help institutions take advantage of the opportunities presented by new technology. Renier’s rich experience in financial services and Fintech will be invaluable to us in this vital work.”

Renier Lemmens, Visiting Professor of Fintech and Innovation and Senior Advisor on Digital Education, said:

“I am excited to join The London Institute of Banking & Finance at this critical juncture and contribute to its important educational mission. My focus will be to understand the rapidly changing needs of all customer segments and help the Institute evolve its qualifications and services with focus and speed.”

As Visiting Professor of Fintech and Innovation, Renier also joins the Faculty at The London Institute of Banking & Finance.

  • Renier Lemmens has had a long career in the finance sector and in FinTech, including senior executive positions at GE Capital, Barclays and PayPal. He currently holds non-executive positions at TransferGo, Divido and Revolut.
  • He joined The London Institute of Banking & Finance on 26 September 2018.
