Accreditation and Recognised Programme service to provide assurance on banking training standards and programmes in MENA

16 September, 2020

The London Institute of Banking & Finance (LIBF) has launched an accreditation accreditation press release and Recognised Programme service for banks and training providers in the MENA region.

This means that training programmes developed internally by banks or by training providers can now be internationally benchmarked.

Alex Fraser, Chief Executive of The London Institute of Banking & Finance, says:
“This is a fantastic way to recognise the hard work and dedication of everyone involved in professional education in the region.

“For regional academies and companies delivering their own programmes, it means they can be assured that their courses meet international benchmarks and appropriate quality standards in terms of content, delivery and management.

“For students, accreditation means that they can receive recognised credits towards an award, a whole award and/or be eligible for membership of LIBF, with our professional and Chartered designations and structured qualification pathways.”

Kareem Refaay, LIBF’s Regional Director for the MENA Region, says:
“We’re delighted to be able to offer an accreditation and Recognised Programme service for the MENA region.

“With our heritage of more than 140 years in banking, and our position as the only professional body with Taught Degree Awarding Powers, we’re proud to be able to share quality British education standards and support competency and skills development in the region’s banking community.”

Recognition services from The London Institute of Banking & Finance (LIBF)

Accreditation: LIBF will accredit a learning programme if matches all, or part of, one of our awards. After completing an accredited programme, learners will be eligible to receive credits towards one of our awards. This will make it easier, quicker, and less expensive for them to gain one of our professional qualifications.

MENA Recognised Programme:
LIBF can provide Recognised Programme status for programmes that do not directly match our awards but provide relevant banking and finance learning. Achieving this status will help grow the programme’s reputation and participant numbers. This form of recognition is ideal preparation for achieving full accreditation once a programme is established.
