The ceremony
10.15am Arrival and registration
We advise you to arrive in good time to register, collect your gown and be photographed. Please contact the Events team on +44 (0)207 337 6286 as soon as possible to advise if you are running late on the day, or unable to attend.
After registration, our staff will direct you to cloakrooms and the West Crypt where you will be able to collect your gown. A limited number of gowns will be available to hire on the day and there will be an additional charge for orders made on the day.
Your guests will be directed to the Old Library and offered refreshments. The Old Library is a good meeting point for those who are travelling to the venue separately from their guests.
11.15am Seating
You will be asked to take your seat in the Great Hall. Your seat number will correspond to your place in the programme.
Guest seating is unallocated and operates on a first-come-first-served basis. There will be seats for everyone who has a ticket, although children under five may be required to sit on laps.
Everyone must be seated by 11.45am.
12.00pm Graduation ceremony
The procession will enter the Great Hall with a fanfare of trumpeters. Speeches will be followed by the presentation of graduate scrolls and prizes, and an address from a student representative.
1.30pm Afternoon tea
You will be invited to celebrate your success with a sparkling reception in the Old Library. There will be live music and afternoon tea will be served.
You will also have the chance to visit the photography studio if you didn’t in the morning.
3.00pm Gowns to be returned and day concludes
