Breakfast Briefing

A practical approach to implementing SMCR within your firm

< return to all events

Julie Pardy, Director of Regulation and Market Engagement, Worksmart

The SMCR will have significant implications for FCA authorised firms.

So what are the key components of the new regime? And what does it mean to you and your business?

This breakfast briefing will give you a practical overview on the issues you need to consider and what you can do now to help prepare your firm for future implementation.

If you think this doesn't affect you - at least not yet - you might want to think again. Download our guide to how FCA is proposing the transition to the regime will work. And come along to our event to find out more!

Who will be speaking?
Julie Pardy, Director of Regulation and Market Engagement, Worksmart

Julie has been operating in the Financial Services market place since 1988. Her first 20 years in the industry were spent in senior operational, compliance and L&D roles with a variety of financial institutions.

Her practical application, enthusiasm and detailed knowledge of both regulation and the financial services market place allows her to support businesses in meeting regulatory requirements.

Julie has most recently been working very closely with the British Banking Association to help host a range of SMR related webinars and training events to help support firms in implementing the new Senior Managers Regime in Banking. In the last 18 months since the inception of SMR, Julie has been working with firms not only to help them effectively embed SMR but also to help them implement system solutions to assist them in managing employee competence and wider regulatory responsibilities.
