Rob Thompson, Head of Banking Relationships, The London Institute of Banking & Finance
Rob has worked for LIBF for 20 years and is currently the Head of Banking Services within the Professional Education team. Prior to this, he worked for NatWest bank in their retail operations department.
His role is primarily responsible for all of LIBF's banking relationships and promoting the wider uptake of the professional qualifications and training programmes. Rob has studied a number of the LIBF programmes, achieving the Level 5 Professional Diploma in Banking & Finance in 2018. He's currently studying towards the Level 6 Advanced Diploma in Banking & Finance and chartered status.
Rob worked for HSBC on secondment to help them rollout the LIBF's Retail Banking certificate to their branch network in 2013 and has also managed a number of the LIBF's overseas partnerships including the Isle of Man, ifs Malta and the Kuwait Institute of Bankers.
Keeleigh Field, Customer Experience Analyst, Close Brothers
Keeleigh has worked in Financial Services at Close Brothers for four and half years and started out her career as an apprentice on the companies Aspire scheme. Since the completion of Aspire, she has held several roles across the organisation, primarily in Customer Experience, before recently transitioning into a new role as Retail Business Manager. Studying with the LIBF has helped her gain promotions in her role and broaden her knowledge of the industry and key components of a bank.
Keeleigh has obtained an Advanced Diploma in Banking & Finance and Chartered status with the LIBF since beginning her studies as part of the Aspire scheme. To attain this, she has studied 7 qualifications in Banking Finance: Certificate in Retail Banking Conduct of Business, Level 4 Customer Relationship Management, Level 5 Professionalism Conduct and Ethics, Level 5 Corporate and Commercial Lending, Level 6 Strategic Management and Level 6 Risk Management.
She has enjoyed her learning experience with the LIBF and the convenience of independent study which provided her with the flexibility needed to study and work at the same time
Dunston Pisani, Resourcing Officer, HSBC Malta
Dunston is currently studying Financial Risk Management in Banks (FRMB) with LIBF, and he will obtain the Advanced Diploma in Banking & Finance (AdvDipB&F) and Chartered Status after he completes his studies.
He joined the banking industry five years ago, and his first role was working in a contact centre as a customer services representative. He started studying with LIBF four years ago, and his first course was Certificate in Retail Banking and Conduct of Business (CertRBCB). This course helped him with his promotion to become a team manager where he helped individuals progress in their careers and inspired people to invest in themselves. In his first year as a manager, he achieved the highest rating of performance.
To date, he has completed nine qualifications with LIBF in Banking and Finance, Complaint Handling, Professionalism Conduct and Ethics, Strategic Management and Risk Manager at levels 4 and 6. His experience with LIBF was great and he is happy that LIBF has helped him improve his personal identity and discover his professional one.
Last October, Dunston moved into a supporting role, where he builds tools to help measure and manage performance. He helps translate data into meaningful information to allow senior leaders to make better informed decisions. He also helps to optimising people investment time, by looking at call arrival patterns and call forecast
