Gain chartered status through your existing knowledge and experience with our Professional Experiential Route (PER).
Many working professionals aim to achieve chartered status but would prefer not to follow a traditional qualifications route. For banking professionals with over ten years of industry experience, chartered status can now be achieved with our new Professional Experiential Route (PER).
PER is not a qualification but a new pathway to chartered status with LIBF.
If you have at least 10 years relevant industry experience and are interested in gaining chartered status with the LIBF, then the PER could benefit you. Instead of having to study via the traditional qualification route, you would complete a reflective piece of work based on your career achievements instead, to achieve chartered status.
This alternative route will help you to showcase your professional work, knowledge and achievements by gaining chartered status. By doing this, you will also be able to consider ways in which you could further develop your working practices.
It's a flexible route, making it easier than ever to fit around existing work and lifestyle commitments. If you don’t already hold a formal banking qualification or degree, then PER is an ideal way to achieve chartered status.
You will be assessed on four reflective scenarios, based on situations you have experienced during your career to date and what you have learned from them. You will also be able to reflect on a range of topics that are of interest to you and fit with your areas of expertise.
During your studies, you will have access to:
Once completed, you will be able to use the Chartered Associateship designation and digital badge, highlighting your professional credibility to potential clients, peers and networks. While studying with us, you will also automatically become a Member of The London Institute of Banking & Finance – giving you access to our global professional networking events and careers support.
£1,995 per applicant.
This will cover tutor support, assessment and the first-year chartered membership fee.
As part of this, there is a £295 application fee per person to review your application and eligibility. If successful, this fee will be deducted from the overall cost.
Once you have submitted your online application and paid the application fee, these will be reviewed by a member of our Professional Education team and determine whether you are suitable for this route.
If you are successful, you will then be contacted to pay the fee in full and begin your journey to chartered status through PER.
