Zeynep began her career as an engineer, prior to working as a trade analyst for the Italian Trade Commission. She holds a Masters degree in International Marketing from the University of Strathclyde, a PhD in Banking from Marmara University in Istanbul and a Masters degree in Teaching and Learning in Higher and Professional Education from the UCL Institute of Education. Since moving to the UK, Zeynep has worked as a lecturer at the Universities of Bradford and East London and has been tutoring on the Centre for Financial and Management Studies (CeFIMS) distance learning programmes at SOAS since 2011. Her current research interests include sustainable banking, green economics with a particular focus on green jobs, country risk management, education for sustainable development and the implementation of environmental standards in developing countries.
