Booking an electronic exam

Electronic exams are offered for several of our qualifications. You can sit your exam through Pearson VUE at any of their 150 nationwide test centres.

We recommend you book your exam early as centres can fill up quickly, however you can book an exam as little as two working days in advance. Please note, bookings can't be made more than three months in advance.

We advise you to book your exam at least 2 months in advance of your registration expiry date. If you need to make changes to your booking, you must give a minimum of two working days' notice before the exam date or your fee may be forfeited.

Book online

You can book online through the Pearson VUE website. Please read the following important information before making a booking online.

  • Email address
You are required to have a valid registration and email address recorded with The London Institute of Banking & Finance. Your exam confirmation details including the time, date and location will be sent to this email address. If you don't have an email address recorded you can add one using the 'My details' section on MyLIBF or call +44 (0)12 2781 8609. Once the email address has been added it may take up to 2 hours before you can make an online booking whilst their system updates your details.

  • Pearson VUE username and password
Your Pearson VUE username and password can be found on the MyLIBF site within your Important Registration Information page.

  • Exam times
To ensure your exam times don't clash, it is not possible to sit two exams consecutively without a break in between.

  • Rescheduling and cancelling examinations
You must allow at least one clear working day Monday - Friday UK time to reschedule or cancel online. For example, an exam scheduled for a Wednesday would need to be cancelled by 17:00 UK time the previous Monday. Any changes made after this period would be subject to penalty fees and you will also need to pay a fee to resit.

  • Extra time and special considerations
If you require extra time or special consideration please contact the Student and Customer Services Team on +44 (0)12 2781 8609 to discuss your options.

By moving to the Pearson VUE website you are confirming that you have read and understood the information on this page and take full ownership for your bookings.
