Congratulations on your offer!

Exceptional students like you deserve an exceptional university experience. We've created this page as a resource for everything that you need to know as you prepare for your studies with us in September.

We’re on track for a September start!

Please note these important dates for your diaries:

  • Welcome week for new students, Monday 14 to Thursday 17 September
  • First week of teaching starts Monday 21 September.

We’re also planning to run a pre-registration event in the week of Monday 7 September, where we’ll invite small groups of students to the campus to meet each other and staff. You don’t have to attend, but it will give you the chance to get to know the area and familiarise yourself with our social distancing arrangements.

The timetable for September 2020 will look different to previous years. It is likely to be more condensed, so that you won’t have to travel to campus every day. But we’ll be providing as much face-to-face teaching as we can – space permitting.

We’ll use both our buildings for teaching – our Lovat Lane Campus and the 8th floor of Peninsular House, in Monument Street. If you’re not familiar with the area, you may be reassured to know that the buildings are very close – less than a minute’s walk from each other.

Don’t worry if you’re not comfortable travelling or need to shield, because we will support face-to-face teaching with online delivery to help you.

We have been delivering lectures and teaching online for many years and in the current circumstances believe it is safer to use a blended learning approach. We would like to reassure you that your learning experience will not suffer.

We can help you find the perfect place to stay through our link with UNITE and International Student House. We recommend that you start your search for accommodation as early as possible to make sure that you get the best deal.

We advise you not to pay a deposit or rent until you have viewed the property, read the contract and met with the landlord. Remember to get a copy of the signed contract and a receipt for the deposit and check that your landlord has placed your deposit in one of the government's deposit protection schemes.
