Our academic and careers teams will be able to support you on your student and career journey and help you to become the perfect candidate for your chosen field.

BSc (Hons) in Banking & Finance

BSc (Hons) in Finance, Investment & Risk

Throughout this course, you’ll study in a business-like environment and become familiar with the core elements of investments, analysis and risk management that will underpin the decisions you make throughout your career.

Placement year option

Both our degrees programmes can be studied across the standard three years, or four years if you’d like to do a year in industry placement. Don’t worry if you’re not sure – you don’t need to decide right away and can switch to the four-year course in your first year. Our Careers and Employability Service will be able to help you find and apply to placements if you need a helping hand.

What do our students say?

“It is a differentiating factor which puts me in front of other internal candidates when speaking with HR or managers [and] has accelerated my progress in the bank.”

LIBF alumni Robert Hudson Tucker, Handelsbanken UK

“I began reading the Financial Times, to which the university provide a subscription, and I even started trading myself. This is down to the influence of the students I am surrounded with here – the difference in ambition and industry knowledge is striking.”

LIBF alumni Millie Montague, Securities Analyst, Goldman Sachs
