The programme will include:

A solid overview of the investment banking and financial services sector. We break down confusing industry jargon and increase your commercial awareness.
You’ll get an insight into the different role opportunities such as: IPO’s Mergers and Acquisitions; Corporate Finance; Capital Markets; Asset Management; Private Equity and Private Banking.
Academic training around the fundamentals of investment banking: Learn about pricing stocks and valuing companies.
Learn to trade – an interactive afternoon trading on the financial markets using a real time trading platform.
Career support – co-create a career strategy to support you in landing your first role in the sector including a meeting with a qualified career coach offering you support.
Create a financial services CV that has real and proven impact in securing interviews.
Professional networking events – Meet and hear from leading Investment Banking Professionals, alumni and staff from The London Institute of Banking & Finance.

Timetable of the programme

Morning Introduction to LIBF and programme aims. Overview of the banking and finance sector.	Morning Lecture on the fundamentals of investment banking: pricing stocks and valuing companies	Morning Careers and employability workshop: learn about the skills needed to succeed in banking and finance. Creating a professional CV tailored for the sector.
Mid-morning & Lunch Investment banking panel talk and networking lunch.	Mid-morning & Lunch Lunch and tour of London City.	Mid-morning & Lunch Asset Management panel talk and networking lunch.
Afternoon Talk on careers in the banking and finance sector.	Afternoon Learn to trade workshop: live trading exercise.	Afternoon Individual career coaching session and creating of career strategy and planning.
Evening Free time.	Evening Free time.	Evening Completion ceremony and networking evening with professionals from the banking and finance sector.

Entry criteria

English GCSE grade C or international equivalent or evidence of meeting our English Language requirements if you are a non-native speaker;
Maths GCSE grade C or international equivalent;
Name of the University and course you are currently studying; and
What year you are in;

Fees & Payment

Fees: £485. Fees include tuition, learning materials, networking events and lunch provided each day. This does not include accommodation, travel costs, spending money.

Payment: If you are accepted into the programme you will receive an offer by email. You must confirm your acceptance by email together with full payment of the programme fees within seven days. Payment details will be sent in the offer email. Please contact us to discuss payment plans.

Right to cancel: All applicants have a 14-day right to cancel their decision to accept an offer. If you withdraw within the cancellation period there is no financial penalty. If you withdraw after the 14-day cancellation period, but before the start of the programme you will be refunded 50% of the programme fee.
