A senior banking professional and academic, Alastair was awarded his visiting professorship in recognition of his all-round contribution to LIBF. He has been a member of the Faculty for over 20 years including as a module leader, chief examiner, author and academic representative on LIBF’s board.

From 2016–20, Alastair headed LIBF’s international business, leading the project to set up ADGM Academy and working closely with the UK government and DIT on several key projects. Alastair has taught banking and finance courses in many countries – including Cuba, UAE and Uzbekistan – and widened LIBF’s visiting faculty and network of trainers and subject matter experts.
