Alumni Ambassador Programme


Alumni Ambassadors are a key resource for prospective students. They represent us in a number of different ways to help give a better understanding of what it is like to study with us.   

What do Alumni Ambassadors Do?

Ambassadors help to raise our profile. The role comprises a range of activities including:

  • Participating in REACH events, Summer University and open days;
  • Sharing their experience of studying with us to their professional and online networks;
  • Appearing in promotional films and marketing material;
  • Writing testimonials or blogs;
  • Participating in online talks, Q&A sessions or discussions;
  • Participating in school visits and talks.

What are the benefits in joining for Ambassadors?

Ambassadors can benefit in a number of ways. Some of obvious benefits include: 

  • Opportunities for personal development (e.g. learning and developing new skills);

  • Opportunities for professional development (e.g. networking with other ambassadors, raising profile within your organisation, enhancing your CV);
  • Satisfaction from playing an active role in supporting our development, as well as helping the wider banking and finance industry. 

Who can apply?

This scheme is open to all alumni. Ambassadors are not subject specific, so applicants are welcome from graduates in all subject areas.

How much time will I be expected to give?

You only sign up for activities that fit in with your timetable and other commitments.

You are not paid for your time, but any out of pocket expenses incurred will be covered (provided they are agreed in advance).

How to donate

You can make a donation to the Alumni Fund and our 140th Anniversary appeal online or by downloading and completing our donation form.

To donate online, visit our Virgin Money Giving page, select the amount you would like to donate, leave a message and your name (optional). You can pay by card or PayPal.

Alternatively, download our donations form, fill it out and post it to our Registered Office. Payments can be made by cheque, debit or direct transfer.

Remember us in your will

Make a pledge by adding The Alumni Fund to your will. A legacy pledge will have a significant future impact on the ability of talented individuals to access our programmes.

As we are a registered charity, your estate will pay no inheritance tax on the value of the gift by way of a legacy.
