We have different scholarships available – see below for details. Please note that recipients can only receive one type of scholarship.

UK Postgraduate Scholarship (Academic)  

If you live in the UK and you enrol onto one of our online postgraduate courses you’ll be able to apply for an LIBF UK Postgraduate Scholarship (Academic).  

This scholarship is to support you if you do not have any professional work experience but can demonstrate a successful academic journey.

Award

If your application is successful, you’ll receive the scholarship as a credit against your fees for the programme, provided you continue to meet our criteria.

Amount

You’ll receive a credit of £2,000 in total.

How to apply

You’ll be invited to submit an application for this scholarship when you apply for your online degree. You must submit a 300 to 500-word statement outlining how your academic background will help you succeed in this degree, your career, or both. 

UK Postgraduate Scholarship (Working Professional) 

If you live in the UK and you enrol onto one of our online postgraduate courses you’ll be able to apply for an LIBF UK Postgraduate Scholarship (Working Professional).  

This scholarship is to support you if you’re a working professional in the sector.  

Award

If your application is successful, you’ll receive the scholarship as a credit against your fees for the programme, provided you continue to meet our criteria.

Amount

You’ll receive a credit of £2,000 in total.

How to apply

You’ll be invited to apply for this scholarship when you apply for your postgraduate programme. You must submit a 300 to 500-word statement outlining how your professional working background will help you succeed with this degree, your career, or both. 

Scholarship criteria

  • You must indicate which scholarship you wish to apply for on the programme application form – UK Postgraduate Scholarship (Academic) or UK Postgraduate Scholarship (Working Professional).
  • You will need to indicate within your application personal statement how you believe master’s study will support your understanding of international banking and finance.
  • Only one scholarship per recipient is available.
  • Only applicants who have received an offer of admission (conditional or unconditional) will be considered.
  • All scholarship decisions will be made and notified to successful recipients after the admissions closing date.

Student loans

Student loans for postgraduate master’s degrees are now available. You can claim over £10,000 which is paid in instalments (instalments determined by the Student Loans Company). The loan is a contribution towards the cost of study (ie, it will be at the student's discretion to use the loan towards fees, maintenance costs or other costs), is non-means tested and paid directly to you.

UK nationals ordinarily resident in the UK and Islands for three years are eligible. The loan will also be available to EU, EEA or Swiss nationals ordinarily resident in the EU, EEA or Switzerland. Applicants must be under 60, without existing qualifications at master’s level or above.
